Miki Herman has been a floral designer for over 15 years & has extensive experience in all aspects of floral design, floristry education, and the business of flowers. Prior to the opening of Moss, she worked throughout Chicago & its North Shore cultivating her technical skills & nurturing her ever evolving fresh & innovative style. While working in Lake Forest, IL, she taught floral design classes at the Gorton Community Center for several years and her work was shown in Veranda Magazine, House Beautiful Magazine & Shelter Magazine. She believes strongly in giving back to the community in creative ways & supporting positive social endeavors & community groups. Moss has created donations for:
As a first time participant in The Milwaukee Art Museum's "Art in Bloom 2009", her piece was awarded 2nd place. It has been said that "bread feeds the body, but flowers feed the soul."
